Although Charlecote Pheasant isn’t one of the venues we visit most frequently, we’ve supplied dance floors here and understand how the room works for evening receptions.
The function room is long and rectangular, making a rectangular dance floor the best option. While a 14′ × 12′ dance floor works well for many weddings, we’d generally recommend a 16′ × 14′ where guest numbers allow, as it fills the room more naturally and creates a stronger focal point.

This is the smallest size we’d suggest for the room and provides a comfortable amount of dancing space without looking too small.

Our preferred choice for this venue. The additional size complements the proportions of the room and creates a more impressive centrepiece.

We generally wouldn’t recommend going larger than this as it provides an excellent balance between dancing space and guest seating.

Access and installation
How the setup normally works
Installation at Charlecote Pheasant is straightforward thanks to the convenient access available.
- Reverse our vehicle directly up to the fire exit on the left-hand side of the function room.
- Unload close to where the dance floor will be installed.
- Prepare everything before the room turnaround begins.
- Install the dance floor once the venue staff have cleared the room.
- Complete the setup efficiently ready for the evening reception.
The close access helps reduce installation time and minimises disruption during the room turnaround.
First-hand experience
Knowledge that helps everything run smoothly
One of the biggest advantages at Charlecote Pheasant is the excellent access directly outside the function room. Being able to reverse right up to the fire exit means unloading is quick and efficient, allowing us to be ready as soon as the room is available.
Because the room is long rather than square, a rectangular dance floor generally looks far more balanced than a square one and makes better use of the available space.
